Kwan Family Reunion Stories

A great way to stay connected is through the recording and sharing our family stories. Those of you who attended the Honolulu reunion will recall that we kicked off what will hopefully be an ongoing project to record Kwan Family stories using the StoryCorps app. A few game souls have led the way, and we are happy to announce that 7 interviews are now available for your listening pleasure in the newly-formed Kwan Family Reunion Stories, a community within the StoryCorps Archive. Check it out!

This is just the beginning, as we hope the number of stories will continue to grow. To facilitate the interviewing process during the pandemic (and beyond), StoryCorps recently announced the option to record an interview over the phone in addition to the in-person interview. While many of us are still sheltering at home, is there a better time to reach out to a favorite Kwan relative and record a family story, especially a story from one of our elders?
