Rural Development and Research Foundation (RDRF)
Rural Development and Research Foundation (RDRF) is a registered Society established at Akola. Krishi Vigyan Kendra is sanctioned by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on 24.08.2010 by F.No. 5-4/09 AE-II, as a new KVK for Akola district, Maharashtra in favour of RDRF.
Registered Society founded by like-minded professionals having vision and commitment towards Agricultural Development.
Members with outstanding Academics and Vast Experience in Agriculture and allied Sectors.
Members have varied background in Social life, Agriculture, Engineering, Agro-processing, Irrigation, Medicine and Information Technology.
Objectives of RDRF
Study varied problems of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Undertake applied Research Projects.
Specific Projects for Saline Soils which comprise 31% of Agricultural land of District.
Work for strengthening of Rural Economy with Agroallied Activities.
Educate farmers with new technology.
Arrange lectures, Seminars and Training for farmers and extension works.
Exploration of Information Technology and Communications in Agriculture.
Special Attention for women upliftment and socially backward classes and tribals.
