The Website of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Akola was launched by hon'ble Dr Sharad R. Gadakh, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. PDKV, Akola, Dr. Vilas Kharche, Director of Research, Dr. Dhanraj Undirwade, Director of Education Extension Dr. PDKV, Akola on 31st January, 2024 during Annual Zonal Workshop of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) organized by Directorate of Extension Education, Dr. PDKV, Akola from 31st January  to 1st February, 2024.

KVK, Akola is a district level Farm Science Center established by the ICAR, Delhi at Rural Development and Research Foundation, Akola for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers fields. The aim is to reduce the time lag between Generation of technology at the research institutions and it's transfer to the farmer's field for increasing production, productivity and income from agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis. 

KVK Akola is located at Sisa (Udegaon), Taluka and District Akola (Maharashtra State)- 444 104. Site is within 30 minutes Drive from District Headquarters, Railway Station, Bus Stand and Airport. It is centrally located in District, equidistant from all talukas. Located within 10 Kms area of major state level Agricultural establishment including Agricultural University. Motorable road upto site from National Highway and MIDC, Akola.
