This was part of a "Draw This In Your Style" challenge. I decided to use a clay-like art style to draw attention to the boy and experiment with different visual design techniques.
I interpreted the prompt "Hello Lava Lamp" using my original characters Graham and Mochi. They are preschoolers waving hello to the lava lamp.
I created this drawing as part of a "Draw This In Your Style Challenge" on Instagram. I like the way I drew the characters' space suits and look forward to drawing more outer space pictures in the future!
I made this drawing using characters from two different art challenges. I designed the background as a school picture day setting to best accomodate how I viewed the characters.
This drawing was created as part of the ArtFight competition. On ArtFight, the user Shadow_the_dragoncat originally created the characters Blueberry and Expresso, and I decided to draw them in my art style.
This drawing helped me learn how to draw a simple cityscape and spotlights on a round object. The characters featured are my preschooler original characters Mochi and Graham as they make-believe that they are superheroes about to save the day.
This piece is my favorite line art piece I have created. It features two of my original characters, Luna and Comet, relaxing by the pool on a crisp summer morning.
This piece stars my original character Cola, who is loosely based on myself. I expressed the emotion of sadness through the monochromatic nature of the background and lighting. I used this drawing to make a statement about mental health in the art community.
This possum was a request from one of my Instagram followers in April 2024. After I finished the drawing, I sent it to them, to which they replied "Very cute! He's so studious!" and expressed their satisfaction.
"Cake" is a piece of artwork that I created in celebration of my own birthday. I decided to draw Mochi having his 4th birthday celebration with Graham and blowing out the candle on top of the cake.
I decided to challenge myself and create a drawing that was a close-up of a single character. I paid close attention to her hair and face, and added blush and shadows to create depth to her character.
This piece of art features one of my original characters, Graham, riding a melting popsicle on a hot summer day. I made this drawing to show how I can squish faces in my art.
Illustrating a fuzzy robe proved to be a rewarding challenge. Contrasting the soft texture of the robe against the smooth yet furry texture of Graham was my main goal when drawing this. I am pleased with how the sink bubbles and the overall final product turned out.
To learn the art of perspective, I began a personal project where I drew my characters Luna and Cola from different points of view. This piece successfully portrays a low perspective.
