Viking

This was my first garb, and my entry point in the SCA. I learned to sew for "Vikings Con" and asked a friend of mine (Ishmael Reed) for sewing advice. He then introduced me to the Shire of Roxbury Mill.

I created a wool apron dress that ended up not going over my lats, and then another wool apron dress that did, my linen t-tunic, wool kaftan, wool hood and wool hat lined in faux fur. I also created my husband's linen pants, linen t-tunic, wool over tunic, wool hood, and wool cape.

Our shoes are from Viking Leathercrafts. I used many of the sources below, but was not actually in the SCA yet when creating this garb or it would have been better documented.

Shoes

Viking Leathercraft - I bought these this summer. I find them very comfortable, even without socks. Though we did buy and trim down inserts to use before ever wearing them.
