Semester of Course: Fall 2024
Professor Name: Amy Barbeau
Reflection on course
Reflection: First, this class taught me many things about leadership: impact of voice through simulations of trading and negotiation, moral decision making through a series of ethical dilemmas/educated discussions, and critical thinking skills through the nuances of accounting and business. This class leads with the core idea of a purpose in business, meaning that anyone can do business, and anyone can contribute value to the world. It teaches a way to be smarter with finances, be more receptive to all types of companies, and be perseverant in consulting. On the left here is an end of the year Capstone Project that my team put together. This presentation was revised over the course of 9 weeks, eventually being presented as a solution to the representatives of the company (Synchrony Financial). This presentation took consistent effort, extensive research, and cooperation from the whole team. This course taught me not only the principles of leadership in a business setting, but also how to apply leadership with an approachable end-of-year project.
