Dr. Kuo concentrates and engages in developing the functional and quantitative optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging platform for medical applications. She has successfully developed a novel detection scheme with Fourier domain OCT system, performing fast in vivo visualization in both transparent and turbid specimens, and thus collaborated with a number of clinical doctors in the OCT projects, including dermatology, dentistry, anesthesiology, and ophthalmology. Research Interests including, surgical-guiding OCT system and its applications; high resolution OCT Angiography for retina disease; and the detection of early cancer and cancer metastasis.
