Roles & Responsibilities:
Designing an IGBT gate driver power supply for 800 V, 500 kVA 3-phase BLDC motor controller for Electric Buses.
Supporting Functional Safety Team in FMEA.
Identifying the root cause of MOSFET failure in a 96 V, 3-phase BLDC motor controller. Originally designed for industrial use, the controller has failure rate of 1000 ppm. An automotive standard demands failure rate less than 100 ppm. My main task involved preparing and conducting test plan for failure analyses of MOSFETs switches.
