Arrival Time for First Massage
Arrive 10-15 early for your first massage. This will allow you to fill out the intake form (if you have not already), change and prepare for the massage. Arrive 5-10 minutes early for future appointments after the first visit. Clients who arrive early will get to experienced a calm and unrushed massage. However, if showing up late is inevitable, please contact beforehand and possibly look into a different schedule time.
Cancellation, No Show, and Late Arrival Policy
Your appointment is tailored and reserved for you. I value your business and ask that you respect the scheduling policy. If you do need to cancel, I ask that you give a 24-hour notice.
If you cannot give a 24-hour notice, there will be a $40 cancellation fee ($30 for half hour appointments). Clients who miss their appointment without sending a notice in advance will be charged in full for the service they selected.
By not giving a notice 24-hours in advance, I will not be able to notify another client in time to fill in for your appointment, which could potentially cause me to lose business with other clients.
If you arrive late to your session, we will not be able to extend the session due to other clients being scheduled afterwards. You will be charged in full. I understand that there are many factors that could lead you to be late, but that is time that I do not have with another client. If there is an opening after your appointment, there is a possibility that we can extend the session, however, this will only be considered if you notified that you will be late.
Client Consent Form
The massage treatment will be discussed with you prior to each appointment. If this is your first appointment, you will be asked to go through and sign the consent form stating that you have read, understand, and agree with the policies and procedures. Clients who have not signed a consent form within a year will be asked to re-sign this form again.
Respect for Client's Needs and Boundaries
Temperature, pressure, loudness of music, and/or the duration of working in a specific area can be adjusted if asked.
The client can dress down to their comfortable level, whether that be fully clothed or not. The client also has the right to refuse a technique, or end the session if desired.
The client will be properly draped, making sure nothing is exposed except for the area being worked on.
Treating Minors
I am trained and prepared to work on minors, however, if the child is younger than 18 years old, I ask that the parent/guardian will sit in on the treatment along with signing of a waiver to perform massage on the child.
Privacy Policy
Your massage therapy records are kept in a secure place where only I have access to. Your records will not be released to third parties, including health care providers and insurance companies without your written consent. Records may be surrendered if required by law.
Conduct
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Sexual innuendos, touching of the massage therapist, or suggestive comments in any way, will result in the termination of the session and the client will not be allowed for return for further massages. The full fee will be required.
