The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national and international non- profit organization founded in 1950 by Dr. Beatrice Hicks to empower women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. SWE envisions a world with gender parity and equality in engineering and technology, by embracing values such as integrity, trust, professional excellence, inclusive environments, and mutual support. SWE provides mentoring, training, personal and professional growth for and by women in engineering to help employers achieve a broadly diverse, well-trained workforce as well as providing collegiate members with opportunities to inspire future generations.
