ABOUT US

             The vibrant role of the library is the development of a culture that promotes wider reading, motivated readers and learners for life. Through its services, it strives to develop the habit of reading various books, journals and other learning resources of different formats; print and non-print. The University Library System consists of the Main Library and Laboratory High School Library, located at Bulanao Campus, Dagupan campus Library and Rizal Campus Library. Through the continuous upgrading of its services, facilities and the library personnel; the University Library System strives to provide a place for collaborative learning among library clientele and assist them to develop the ability of independent research and information literacy skills.



THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY SYSTEM

GOALS:

1. KSU Library commits to be an information center that provides quality service concerned with the enhancement of its collection, facilities and staff and serves as a catalyst in disseminating relevant information needed by its users.

2. Assist its clientele, especially the students, in their academic and personal development, through the provision of updated resources and services in order to effectively participate in the attainment of the institutional mission, and to be more responsive to information demands.

3. Supports the university in carrying out its mission through continuous development of its collections, services, facilities and staff.


OBJECTIVES:

1. To ensure that there is an annual increase in library resources

2. To ensure that 95% of newly acquired library resources are entered into the library system annually

3. To ensure library users will not wait for more than five (5) minutes to be served

4. To be able to answer at least 90% of reference queries

5. To provide guidance on the use of library collections and inculcate lifelong information skills by conducting information literacy and orientation to users at least 4 times per semester.

6. To ensure that librarians have appropriate trainings by attending relevant seminars/conferences at least 3 times annually

7. To provide additional e-resources to clientele during the lockdowns
