The Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchyat Raj University Library (temporarily in Raitha Bhavan building) came into existence in the year august 2017 by inheriting document collection of about 10000 more books and 150 National and International periodicals Several Back volumes of Journals. Since then, it has been contributing to the academic excellence of the university.

With an endeavour to provide right information to the right reader at the right time, the library has built an impressive and valuable collection of books related to university subjects like social work, rural development and panchayat raj, Agri-business management, Environmental science, co-operative management, Public Health, Food Science & Technology, Computer Science (Data Analytics), Public Administration, Development Economics. In addition to this the university library subscribes the journals, magazines and news papers, the steps are being taken to add e-books for the benefit of the students and the staff of the university.

The library has been automated with using EASYLIB Software access library management system for its instant housekeeping operations of circulation, cataloguing, acquisition and serial control. Library holdings can be accessed / searched by using OPAC (online public access catalogue) and installed 30 computers with 100 Mbps speed internet connection for using e-books,

e-journals, Open access e-resources and other resources are available in library.
