Welcoming & Belonging Professional Community
Goal: KSLA aims to create a professional literacy organization where all viewpoints are valued, all perspectives are respected, and everyone feels they belong.
2.1 - Revise and share widely with the membership the Culture & Belonging statement.
2.2 - Foster and develop relationships with a wide variety of independent school organizations.
2.3 - Implement ways to welcome new members and non-members to participate in the life of the organization.
2.4 - Promote, highlight and engage with local KSLA chapters to celebrate welcoming and inclusive practices.
VISIBILITY
3.1 - Increase the advertisement of the annual conference in various methods.
3.2 - Further develop promotional materials and disseminating them to the local chapters and local communities.
3.3 - Build relationships and partnerships with other organizations to enhance the name recognition and vision of KSLA.
3.4 - Promote existing initiatives beyond our membership.
3.5 - Optimize Social Media and Website to reach specific demographics within our target audiences.
FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY
4.1 - Continue to develop services for members that will retain current members and attract new members.
4.2 - Assess current programs/resources to determine how they can be more cost effective or increase revenue.
4.3 - Solicit from treasurer sustainable financial plan with long-range projections
4.4 - Reestablish a finance committee to support completion of financial sustainability goals.
4.5 - Explore fundraising opportunities.
Goal: KSLA will develop and implement more effective organizational procedures and structures to ensure efficient operations.
5.1 - Develop an efficient method for archiving documents for purposes of continuity.
5.2 - Engage in periodic reflections among board and local leaders to ensure efficient operations and make changes as needed.
