Act 48 - How to Complete Blank Roster - updated 8/20/2024
Act 48 Roster - Excel - updated 8/20/2024 (please make a copy/download right upon opening)
Under the new Act 48 application, you must collect quantitate data that your attendees learned the content of your session. In other words, they need to take a "quiz" to show understanding of the content of the presentation. Copies of completed surveys should be held by the chapter in case of audit by PDE.
Please remember to enable macros BEFORE you write or choose from drop down boxes. One box will generate the next, so be sure to complete this step first. Please make sure this information is given to the person who will be reporting your Act 48 hours for your council.
Here are a few points to keep in mind for the upcoming year:
All rosters should be mailed to KSLAAct48@gmail.com.
Your list of programs is due September 30. Each activity should include the following information:
Date(s)
Name of Activity (never use banquet or breakfast, etc. in your name)
Name of the presenter and how or why he/she is qualified.
Hours to be awarded.
This can be in any format; PDF would be best.
Please remember that if you do book talks or virtual book talks, etc. your chapter will need to establish a set number of hours that participants can receive to include both reading and discussing. Individuals cannot track their own personal amount of time that it takes to read the book and submit hours.
Each activity should be at least 1 hour and should not exceed 15 hours.
You must have attendees complete evaluations after every activity and keep these on file with your chapter in case PDE decides to audit your hours. Collecting evaluations in order to award Act 48 credit is mandatory - no evaluation, no credit.
Webinars – hours should be submitted by the host chapter for Act 48.
If you have questions about Act 48 and completing the roster, please contact KSLAAct48@gmail.com.
