Leading Learning. Together.
The Kansas Instructional Leaders Association (KILA) exists to fill a critical gap: supporting curriculum and instructional leaders across Kansas. While other associations focus on superintendents or principals, KILA focuses on the heart of teaching and learning.
By joining KILA, you’ll gain:
Professional Learning Opportunities – Specialized training tailored to curriculum and instructional leadership.
Networking & Mentorship – Access to colleagues across the state who share your challenges and vision.
Practical Resources – Guidance, tools, and frameworks that can be immediately applied in your district.
Recognition – Opportunities to be honored for your leadership through KILA’s annual awards program.
A Voice – Representation on the USA-Kansas Board, ensuring instructional leadership is part of statewide conversations.
KILA welcomes anyone who impacts curriculum and instruction, including:
Curriculum directors and coordinators
Instructional coaches and specialists
Building administrators with instructional responsibilities
District-level leaders for curriculum and professional development
Superintendents in smaller districts who lead curriculum directly
Higher education faculty and organizational partners
If you influence what and how students learn, there is a place for you in KILA.
Because KILA operates under the umbrella of USA-Kansas, membership is structured to provide maximum value:
Dual Memberships: Many leaders choose to belong to multiple USA-Kansas affiliate associations. For example:
USA-Kansas + KILA
USA-Kansas + Secondary Principals Association + KILA
Stand-Alone Membership: Instructional leaders may also join KILA directly through USA-Kansas.
This flexible structure allows members to select the combination that best fits their role and needs.
Membership is managed through USA-Kansas.
Simply select KILA when registering or renewing your USA-Kansas membership.
If you are already a USA-Kansas member, you can add KILA at any time.
