A Letter From the Director
Greetings,
This page is made for our kids, their grownups, our supportive congregation, and our awesome community! If you're reading this, you're likely one of them. I'm so excited to share all that Children's Ministry is doing for our children and families. Take a look around, there's something for everyone here!
My name is Miss Taylee and I have been the Children's Ministry director for 4 years now. I have led Vacation Bible School and taught in the Primary Sabbath School classroom for years. I have fond memories of being in Sabbath School and VBS when I joined the Kennewick Church at 4 years old! I knew growing up that I always wanted to be involved and lead out. I thought I wanted to be an elementary school teacher when I was younger, but as I've grown professionally, and in ministry - and I've found my calling as the director! I am currently pursuing a degree in Communication & Child Development. It overlaps and goes hand in hand with what I do for the church. I truly do love ALL aspects of volunteering in Children's Ministry. I may one day still seek education, but for now, my lesson plans involve teaching the gospel to the sweetest, most faith-filled, and smart minds at church. I love supporting our teachers, attending conferences, and implementing new ideas! "I'm in-right, out-right, up-right, down-right, happy all the time..." is stuck in my head 24/7, and if you didn't know - animal crackers, goldfish, and juice boxes are in fact a food group. Ask anyone in Children's Ministry and they can confirm! You're most likely to see me mingling and laughing with our youth, high-fiving kiddos as they skip down the hall, and snuggling on babies in the Cradle Roll room.
God has a special purpose and path for each one of us. Finding and following it can be the best journey you'll ever take. We always need more volunteers in Children's Ministry! I may be biased, but I think its the best ministry...see our volunteer tab for how to get started. You're never too young or old to serve the Lord, dont let your age stop you! We never stop being a beloved child of God.
