This unit is an introduction to Python, a powerful but easy-to-use high-level programming language. The focus of this unit is on getting you to understand the process of developing programs, the importance of writing correct syntax, being able to formulate algorithms for simple programs and debugging your programs. It builds upon what you have covered in Year 7 when you were using Scratch.

Run a simple Python program in Interactive mode using the input and print functions

Learn to write algorithms in pseudocode
