I have explored ways to exercise in an effort to maintain physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. I have set goals and completed 5Ks, 15Ks, half-marathons, and a marathon. Additionally, I have explored both sprint triathlons and yoga. Currently, I am enjoying daily speed walking and striving for a balanced health through healthy eating and regular exercise.
When we lived in Texas I had the privilege to work with our church youth group. I started by leading the 6th-grade girls' life group. I continued to move up with this group of young ladies until we moved at the end of their freshman year in high school. During that time we did service projects together, enjoyed social activities, caroled annually at Christmas time, and traveled together on mission trips. The lessons I have learned and the growth we experienced together is something I could never have predicted and am grateful for the journey of life they allowed me to experience with them.
