I began my law enforcement career in 2004 at the Montezuma Police Department as a Reserve Deputy Marshal. The following year, I joined the Veedersburg Police Department full time, where my passion for public service continued to grow.
After meeting my wife, Jessica, in 2008, who was born and raised in Fountain County, it wasn’t long before I chose to plant my own roots here. In 2011, I joined the Fountain County Sheriff’s Office, fulfilling a goal I had carried since childhood — to serve and protect the community as a Deputy Sheriff.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a police officer. At just 21 years old, as soon as I was eligible, I began my law enforcement journey. Within just a few short years, I set my sights on a new dream: one day serving as Fountain County Sheriff. Today, that dream is becoming a reality as I proudly step forward to serve the community I love in an even greater way.
Since January 2019, I have served as the Chief Deputy of the Fountain County Sheriff’s Office. In this leadership role, I have managed deputies, jail officers, and staff while overseeing the department’s budget, equipment, and operations. I have also built strong working relationships with other local departments and local government officials, including county commissioners, council members, the merit board, the prosecutor, judge, and courthouse staff.
Through every role I've held, I have remained dedicated to community service, transparency, and keeping Fountain County safe. My leadership has been defined by integrity, accountability, and a deep respect for the people I serve.
Outside of my law enforcement duties, I am also a devoted husband and father. Together, Jessica and I are raising three children who are active in school and sports across the county. Faith, family, and community are at the center of everything we do. Whether I'm coaching, cheering from the sidelines, or volunteering locally, I believe in setting an example of service and commitment both in and out of uniform.
Serving this community has been the honor of my life. I’m running for sheriff because Fountain County deserves leadership that protects, listens, and leads with integrity.
