Krone Autosport was officially formed in early 2020. Founders Steven Krone and Pierce Krone wanted a way to spend time from across the USA during the COVID-19 quarantine. The result? Two relatives began racing on iRacing together. Since the inception of Krone Autosport, the team has been racing in our in-house sim series, Krone Autosport vs. The World. This Series was designed to have anyone, and everyone race against a team of drivers in environments ranging from superspeedways to dirt.

As Krone Autosport grows, the decision was made to host sim racing on a more realistic level. With iRacing not being the most ideal simulator on Earth, it was decided to expand into a different program. Thus, the birth of the rFactor2 KA Program. KA's rF2 Program is led by Pierce Krone and Steven Krone, with an emphasis on Stock Car, GT, and open-wheel racing. In the following months, the KA program had joined the Happy Hour Racing League, helped to form the Global Enduro group, formed the Driver's Paradise Racing League, and formed Sim Spark GT League alongside Silvan Motorsports.

In addition to the above Krone Autosport operations, the team also operates Clear Purple Racing. Clear Purple Racing serves as a place for new sim racers to build their skills under Clear Purple Driving team ownership, with complete backing from the Krone Autosport organization.

As the world comes to some sort of normalcy, Pierce Krone finds himself driving in Formula Vee, Formula 2000, and Formula 1000 categories across the United States, in addition to running Clear Purple Driving.
