Biography
Kristina Nenortaitė is an interdisciplinary artist and painter currently based in Connecticut, USA. She began self-teaching skills of drawing and painting at a very young age with books and shows like The Joy of Painting. As a Lithuanian living in America, they always felt out of place growing up in a society with opposing culture. She never felt a sense of belonging unless they were making art. This disconnect leads them to be very observant of others and the constructs of humanity. The older Nenortaitė got, the more they deepened their relationship with their culture and understanding of its importance, and how that impacts their perspective of life.
Nenortaitė currently studies at Hartford Art School, working towards a BFA in Painting and Art History. She was also selected to participate in an intensive semester with UGA's Cortona, Italy program, Fall 2025. They spent months traveling to see the masters in person, and taking those techniques and inspiration to their own classwork.
Nenortaitė has been featured in two selected group shows this year. She is also active in community volunteering, such as the Farmington Artists Circle, and running creative endeavors in their Lithuanian community.
