Kristina Mohlin

I'm an environmental and energy economist working to influence public policy to accelerate reductions in energy-related greenhouse gas emissions and the transition to a clean energy system.

As a Director and Lead Senior Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), I provide economics expertise to support the organization's advocacy and look for ways to bridge the gap between the research community and policymakers.

In my work, I apply my research training in economic theory and applied methods to energy market design and the selection and design of environmental policy instruments.

I am passionate about integrating insights from different disciplines,  policy experts, practitioners and researchers, and much of my work is focused on developing research-based recommendations for policy makers and regulators.

My current focus is on policy and regulations to reduce methane emissions from the global oil and gas system.
