Kristina Manysheva
I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Division at Columbia Business School.Â
I am a macroeconomist working on economic development. I study what shapes growth and inequality in developing countries, and which policies can change them. My work spans market frictions and institutions, segregation, structural transformation, gender and demographics, and the spread of ideas. My approach combines quantitative heterogeneous-agent models with newly assembled micro data.
