Shamanic Healing is full of sound, soul songs rattles and drums. A Shamanic healing can include divination, extraction and soul portion retrieval. 

I study Shamanism as a creative and healing tool, it is the oldest art. The art of survival. I am a shamanic healing practitioner because I found out many years ago, on a quest to better understand a role I was working on for a play, that the subconscious mind is connected to something bigger than ourselves. I had learned how to self-hypnotize. I had a clear question "what is the Queen of the Underworlds source of power?" and I followed the 50 steps down (counting backwards) into my subconscious mind and arrived at a beach. There was a glint in the sand. I went over to it and reached into the sand with two fingers and a thumb to pull out a crystal "node", is what it called itself. The next night at rehearsal I was holding my fingers in the same shape as when I held the node during the hypnosis, swishing it around and pointing it at people. My colleague asked me what I was doing and I shared my experience. He jumped right up and opened a tome of a book about Irish mythology. He turned to the page about the Queen of the Underworld and her source of power was listed as a "crystal node". I was shocked. How could I have known that, I thought. Later, I realized I had tapped into the collective unconscious or the one consciousness and, because I asked, I received an answer. 

Shamanic Journeying shares many elements with self-hypnosis. It always begins with a question. The clearer the question the clearer the answer.
