ABOUT ME

I am  Krishna, PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. I did my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur. Under the guidance of Prof. Santanu De and Prof. Sathesh Mariappan, my research focuses on combustion instabilities in gas turbine combustors. Specifically, I study the hydrodynamic aspects of vortex shedding and also perform the coupled flame describing function (FDF) LES simulations integrated with a thermoacoustic network model. As a part of my work, I have developed a turbulent-combustion model Eulerian stochastic field solver based on the transported filtered density function approach within OpenFOAM, an open-source C++ toolbox, to conduct high-fidelity numerical simulations of gas turbine combustion.
