Our Classroom

Our class starts at 8:50 am and ends at 3:00 pm.

Language Arts and Math are a part of every day.  

In Kindergarten, Language Arts includes reading stories, phonemic awareness, phonics, introduction to site words, letter recognition and formation, reading and writing.  Kindergarten math focuses on counting to 100 (and above if possible), number recognition and formation, shape recognition, color recognition, patterns, comparing skills, addition and subtraction.  In addition to these core subjects we have experiences with science and art.  We end every day with music.

Volunteers are an important part of our Kindergarten program.  Our volunteers help in many ways:  helping students, prepping, artwork, and so much more!  Some parents are unable to help in the classroom on a regular basis and are welcome to help for special events, such as class parties or field trips or bring projects home.  Your time and help are much appreciated.
