Suresh Kumar is a Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology (Autonomous) affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, India. He has a blend of experience in academic institutions and industry. Expert member of Indian Council for Agriculture Research - National Research Centre for Banana (ICAR - NRCB). He has authored/ co-authored over 50 professional papers and articles on Mathematical modeling in manufacturing and still is counting. He has contributed to writing book chapters and Journals with Dr. Paulo Davim, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro, Portugal, in the area of Digital Manufacturing and Machine Vision in Measurement. He has also experience in Supplier Chain Management all over India through Harihar Alloy Castings Pvt Limited, India. And he conducted reverse engineering work of Stems for automatic valve actuators with Franklin Valves USA. Now he is the source person for doing joint project works with Indian Council for Agricultural Research (National Research Centre for Banana) and completed 5 project works with them. An expert member in the selection committee meeting for project young professionals in ICAR - NRCB. Furthermore, His 1 utility idea and 1 design idea were patented with the Intellectual property rights of India for the machine toolbar and machine tool mechanism. subsequently, his 2 utility idea is patented by the international Patent office, in Australia in the area of agriculture machinery, And also, his various idea-filled and published in Indian Patent office Journal with students through his guidance. Subsequently, with his idea and supervision, his co-faculty members have participated in various patent work from that two ideas received a grant as an international patent in the Australian Patent Office, and still counting. He is an Agri India hackathon finalist of ICAR-IARI with the Paddy Harvesting machine. This invention was also published in the Indian Patent right official Journal.
Dr. B. Suresh Kumar funded 4 times for student enrichment program through the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India (CSIR) and AICTE. And he has been funded by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) for conducting project work with students.
