Library Services
Book Lending Service : Students are allowed to borrow books for a period designated by library authorities.The books have to be returned before the due date, failing to which fines are levied.
Reference Service : The library helps the readers in finding out their queries. Readers are also provided with relevant documents in print and electronic form.
Inter Library Loan : The College Library provides inter library loan facility to its readers to cater to the additional reading needs of its readers. This service is provided on request. The information sources of the libraries of all the constituent colleges of K.R.C.E.S Institution can be accessed. For further details contact the Librarian.
Newspaper clipping service : Newspaper article relevant to college and also some general articles are maintained & displayed on notice Board.
Internet facilities to the users: Computers with internet connection are available for the students as well as Staff. And Wi-fi facility is available in Library.
OPAC : Access to library collection is provided through Online Public Access Catalogue[In house]. The OPAC can be searched by author, title, subject, call number, key word and several other options. In addition to identifying the availability of a book in the library, the OPAC also indicates whether the book is presently available or checked out. Library staff will be happy to assist you in using OPAC effectively and locating the title you desire.
Book Bank Facility : The library lends books for the SC/ST students for the whole Semester. For further details contact Librarian.
Current Awareness Service : The list of new arrival is also displayed on the notice board for information of students. New arrivals (books) are displayed on Display rack.
Reprography & Print Service is provided on request, Only those materials that are not lent out of the library can be photocopied.[Reasonable purposes]
Reference Books section
The collection of books is for use within the library only. It consists of textbooks, reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, old question papers, lab manuals,etc.
Periodicals section
The collection of scientific journals and newspapers/magazines for use within the library only.
Library Facilities
Library Building : The library is located in college building, with seating capacity of more than 150 students can be accommodated in reading room of library at a time, there is a separate reading room facility for female & male students. There is separate reading room for the Staff.
Library Automation : Most of the library activities and services are computerized [automated] for easy access to information and for efficient work of the library. The library uses e-lib automation software.
