Our Values
Our Organisation is a Registered Charity dedicated to supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Kettering. We adhere to the following values to make sure our Policies and actions fulfil our objectives.
The rule of law
KRA will obey the law and does not condone illegal actions. We respect the need for laws to make a happy, safe and secure environment to live and work.
Examples - KRA complies with legislation especially regarding refugees and asylum, follow agreed ways of working, policies and procedures, codes of conduct
Individual liberty
KRA supports the protection of human rights.
Examples - supporting Equality and Human Rights, Personal Development, Respect and Dignity, Rights, choice, consent and individuality
Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs, and for those without faith
KRA supporters understand that we all don’t share the same beliefs and values. We respect the values, ideas and beliefs of others whilst not imposing our own on others.
Examples - Embracing diversity, The importance of religion, traditions, cultural heritage and preferences, Avoiding stereotyping, labelling and prejudice, tackling discrimination.
