Dr. Wasiq Ullah Arab Zada was born in District Behsud, Nangarhar, Afghanistan in 1995. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical (Power) Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad (Abbottabad Campus), Abbottabad, Pakistan in 2018 and 2020, and 2024 respectively.
From 2018, he has been Research Associate with Electric Machine Design Research Lab. His research interests include analytical modelling, design analysis and optimization of electric machines for electric vehicles and wind turbines, especially counter-rotating wind turbines applications. From December 2022, he has been with Switzerland Company Wheemo Tech in motor development team as electromagnetic design and dyno testing of Axial In-Wheel Motors, and from September 2023, he has been with U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad as motor design, fabrication, and testing consultant.
Currently, Dr. Ullah is serving as Vice Chancellor of Research and Journals, Kabul Polytechnic University, Kabul, Afghanistan. Mr. Ullah serve as reviewer for IEEE Transaction on Magnetics, IEEE Transaction on Industry Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Magnetics, IEEE Transaction on Transportation Electrification, IEEE Transaction on Mechatronics, Energy Technology, IEEE-IAS Electric Machines Committee, IEEE Access, IET Journals, MDPI Journals, IECON-2022, ISIE-2023, IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, International Conference on Electrical Machines and leading IEEE conferences. He is a graduate student member IEEE, member IEEE-IES Electrical Machines Technical Committee Members and member of Pakistan Engineering Council.
