Professor
Kuo-Ping Chen joined NTHU-IPT from summer, 2022. Before joining NTHU, he was a professor of the Institute of Imaging and Biomedical Photonics, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). Kuo-Ping Chen received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan in 2002. He obtained his M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2004. He earned the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University in 2011.
After graduate from school, Kuo-Ping worked in Intel Corp. for one year (2011-2012) as a process technology and development engineer at Portland, USA. He is responsible for developing the advanced lithography technology. Kuo-Ping joined National Chiao-Tung University and start the Nanophotonics lab in the fall semester of 2012. Kuo-Ping became the associate professor in 2017. Kuo-Ping was awarded the MOST Young talent projects (科技部優秀年輕學者研究計畫) in 2020 and the MOST Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (110年度吳大猷先生紀念獎) and 19th Y. Z. Hsu Scientific Paper Award (第十九屆有庠科技獎-光電科技類) in 2021.
