Privacy Policy

KP is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
What we store
Everything you create in KP, including saved locations, alert rules, your storm log, lesson progress, and preferences, is stored locally on your device. There are no accounts and no sign-in. KP does not run a server for your data, and your information is never uploaded to us or synced to any cloud.
Space weather data
Live conditions come from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, a United States government public domain source. KP requests this data anonymously. No personal information is sent with those requests.
Location
If you grant location access, your coordinates are used on your device to compute your geomagnetic view line and darkness window. Your location is never uploaded and is not stored beyond the place you choose to save.
AI features
Optional AI features send a small, non-personal snapshot of current space weather values and your view line, never your identity or contacts, through a secure relay to a third-party AI service for processing. No advertising, no analytics tools, and no trackers are used anywhere in KP.
Purchases
Any purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. KP never sees or stores your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children
KP does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
You can erase all KP data at any time from Settings, Reset App. Deleting the app also removes everything.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy posted here.
