On some vehicles, the starter is accessible from the bottom
Location of old starter - battery negative lead is disconnected - wires to the starter motor are disconnected & bolts are removed
Starter motor is then removed from the transmission bell housing
Old starter motor removed
the fly wheel is visible from the transmission bell housing when the starter is removed
the starter motor's gear that engages the fly wheel to crank the engine
New replacement starter motor
Starter solenoid
new starter motor is securely bolted into place
wiring & connectors are cleaned and insulated with a little dielectric grease - negative battery cable is then reconnected
new starter motor installation completed
