I. 성경 (The Scriptures)

성경은 하나님께 영감 받은 사람들에 의해 쓰여진 것이며 인간에게 주신 하나님 자신에 대한 계시입니다. 성경은 하나님의 가르침을 완전하게 담고 있는 보물입니다.  성경의 저자는 하나님이시며 쓰여진 목적은 인간의 구원을 위한 것이며 그 내용에는어떤 오류도 섞여 있지 않은 진리의 말씀입니다. 그러므로 모든 성경은 전적으로 참되며 신뢰할 수 있습니다. 성경은 하나님께서 우리를 심판하실 원리들을 드러내고있습니다. 따라서 성경은 지금부터 세상 끝날 때까지 기독교적인 연합의 참된중심이며 모든 인간의 행동과 신조들과 종교적 견해들을 검증할 최고의 표준이됩니다. 모든 성경 말씀은 그리스도를 증거하고 있으며 그리스도는 하나님께서 주신계시의 초점이 되시는 분이십니다. 

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
