"Most theories that have shaped organisation studies in the 20th century are rooted in order, stability, and equilibrium". But is our world truly so ordered? In fact, like my own unruly curls in the photo above, the world itself sometimes resists being smoothed out ... 

My research begins with this question: How do organizations and people live institutional contradictions? This question took me to the extraordinary contexts where contradictions are raw and lived.

My method is ethnography, and my practice is immersion: I live as they do. It has meant embedding myself within a religious micro‑finance initiative; walking for weeks with Bakhtiari nomads across rugged terrain; and sitting in clandestine solidarity circles where housewives pool hidden funds to launch family enterprises.

I combine visual and itinerant ethnography to capture the unseen textures of organizational life that conventional methods overlook.
