It seems to me that international politics is akin to an insane asylum with Yayoi Kusama's studio, who describes herself as an "obsessive artist." Large fields of peas, or "infinity nets" as she calls them, were taken directly from her hallucinations. Her paintings, collages, soft sculptures, performances and installations share an obsession with repetition, polka-dot patterns that you might imagine an international flag in a fictional reality.
