Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Kompressor collects, uses, and protects your information.

Overview

Kompressor is designed with privacy as a core principle. All photo and video compression is performed entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos, videos, or personal files on any external server.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or videos.

We do not access your photo library beyond what is necessary for compression.

We do not upload any of your files to cloud servers.

We do not track your location.

We do not sell or share any personal data with third parties.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics that identify individual users.

Information That May Be Collected

Device Information - Basic device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version may be collected anonymously to improve app performance and fix bugs. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

Subscription Data - If you subscribe to Kompressor Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Apple handles all billing and subscription management.

Usage Data - Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as the number of compressions performed may be collected to help us improve the app. This data contains no personally identifiable information.

Photo Library Access

Kompressor requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to select photos and videos for compression. All processing happens locally on your device. Photos are never copied, uploaded, or transmitted outside of your device. You can revoke photo library access at any time through your device Settings.

Data Storage

Compression history and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Third-Party Services

Kompressor does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services that collect personal data. The only third-party service used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Kompressor does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation and does not collect identifying information.

Data Deletion

Since Kompressor does not collect or store your personal data on external servers, there is no data to delete on our end. To remove all local app data, you can delete the Kompressor app from your device. This will remove all locally stored preferences and compression history.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
