For the first time in Indian public transport history, an initiative has been taken to reserve seats in a private bus route( Route 205/205A Bansdroni to Babughat ) for transgender community under the name of "Tridhara".

South Kolkata's tram route 24/29 which operates from Tollygunge to Ballygunge Station has been resumed. Service frequency is about 10-15 minutes with 7-8 trams expected to operate.
