This Project was found on Kaggle because I have always been interested in the logistics of the usage of AI for companies and how they would implement it into the work force. I found this data incredibly fascinating and enjoyed digging into the logistics that were provided.
Scenario:
I was given over 15,000 jobs from over 50 countries with the key purpose of finding trends related to the aspiring job markets based on location, remote work, and AI influence. The categories of data include job title, description, pay in USD, salary currency, experience level, employment type, education requirements, company location, company size, employee residence, remote ratio, required skills, years experience, industry, posting date, application deadline, job description length, benefits score, and company name. I started by removing any identifying information and normalizing the data to remove any bias or dirty data to be able to start the analysis.
Questions:
Market Trend Analysis
Track the evolution of AI job market
Identify emerging job roles and skills
Analyze remote work adoption patterns
Career Planning
Understand skill requirements for different positions
Compare opportunities across countries
Plan career progression paths
Questions answered:
The lowest paid location for positions were found in Ireland having an average pay of $46,833 and required skills of AWS, Data Visualization, SQL, GCP, and Math
The highest paid location for positions were found in USA with an average pay of $242,002 and required skills AWS, Data visualization, and SQL
China’s required skills were more focused on dealing with large data more so than any other location
France seemed to have the most required skills
Australia seemed to have the least amount of required skills
Recommendations:
Ai jobs seem to be implemented linearly across job positions independent of experience level and education level
Emerging jobs dependent on skills are available, and pay is dependent on the size of the company you are employed to.
My preference for someone with an Associates degree would be to strive for a Machine Learning Researcher position due to not requiring too many differing skills from the lowest paid position.
All experience type have an average of remote work available; the most being for Executive level positions and the least in entry level
AI replacement of positions are not implemented linearly with experience or importance and is instead more constant on average. I was expecting Executive level positions replaced by AI to be quite lower than an Entry level category, however the difference between them is slight (63 positions) and the Entry level category actually has the least replacement.
