PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how Koin Tracker ("Koin", "we", "our", "the app") handles your information. The short version: we do not collect personal data. The long version follows.
SUMMARY
We do not require you to create an account.
We do not collect personally identifiable information.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Your portfolio, watchlist, and transaction history are stored only on your device.
We use anonymous network requests to fetch live crypto prices.
When you tap Run Review on the AI tab, your portfolio snapshot is sent to a third-party AI provider for analysis; you control when this happens.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
Name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
Date of birth, gender, or demographic information.
Location data or GPS coordinates.
Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera.
Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking identifiers.
Crash reports tied to your identity.
Behavioral analytics.
We have no servers, no user accounts, and no login.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Koin stores the following data locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly request an AI review (see below):
Your watchlist (which coins you are tracking).
Your portfolio (which coins you hold and the quantity).
Your transaction history (each buy and sell with quantity, price, date).
Your app preferences (display currency, theme, refresh interval).
Past AI review responses (used to track your daily quota and show your last review).
If you delete the app, all of this data is removed from your device.
INFORMATION SENT TO THIRD PARTIES
Live Price Data
To fetch live cryptocurrency prices, Koin makes anonymous HTTPS requests to a third-party market data provider. These requests contain:
The numeric identifiers of the coins you are tracking.
Your selected display currency code (for example, USD).
No personally identifying information is included. The data provider may log standard network metadata (IP address, request timestamps) according to their own privacy policy.
AI Portfolio Review (Optional, On Demand)
When you tap Run Review on the AI tab, Koin sends the following data to a third-party AI provider for analysis:
Your current holdings (symbols, quantities, cost basis).
Your recent transactions (side, quantity, price, date).
Current market prices at that moment.
Your selected display currency.
This transmission only happens when you explicitly tap Run Review. It does not include your name, email, device identifier, IP address beyond standard HTTPS routing, or any other personal data.
The AI provider processes the request and returns a written portfolio review. The review text is then stored locally on your device.
You can choose never to use the AI Review feature; all other parts of Koin work without it.
CHILDREN
Koin is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, regardless of age.
YOUR RIGHTS
Because we do not collect or store personal information on any server, there is no profile to access, modify, or delete on our end. To remove all of your Koin data, delete the app from your device.
If you live in a jurisdiction with specific data subject rights (for example, GDPR in the European Union, CCPA in California, LGPD in Brazil, PIPEDA in Canada), those rights still apply. Contact us at pradeep.aneesh@gmail.com with any request.
DATA RETENTION
Locally stored data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
The third-party market data provider and the AI provider may retain network logs of your requests according to their own published retention policies.
SECURITY
All network requests are made over HTTPS. Your local data is protected by Apple's standard iOS data protection. We do not transmit credentials, payment information, or personal identifiers from the app.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
