Statue Installed!
Father Michael will dedicate and bless the statue after the 11:30 mass on Sunday, October 17, all Knights and parishioners are welcome.
In loving memory of Deacon Jerry
Tony Depaola, Peter Perhach, Joe Aurora, Todd Ruddle and Jerry Adams, landscapers extraordinaire, all smiles after a job well done. A Big Thank You goes out to PGK Sir Knight Carl Seaton for installing the lighting around the statue. It's beautiful at night. Thanks to the Knights that helped install the landscaping.
Diaper Drive Success!
The Diaper Drive our council held these past few weeks has been a tremendous success. Led by Sir Knight John O'Reilly, the effort collected the equivalent of over 300 standard diaper boxes, plus an assortment of other baby gifts. The diapers and gifts were delivered to the Culture of Life Family Services (COLFS) by council Sir Knight Dan Little. Thank You to all the Knights and parishioners who brought in gifts, and to the Knights who helped organize and transport the items to COLFS.
Vivat Jesus!

Brother Knights:
I am passing along a notice I received concerning a call to action from the Archbishop of San Francisco, Archbishop Cordileone:
Archbishop Cordileone wants YOU: to join his campaign to send a Rose and Rosary to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Here's the quote from the statement the Archbishop released to the press:
"I am therefore inviting all Catholics to join in a massive and visible campaign of prayer and fasting for Speaker Pelosi: commit to praying one rosary a week and fasting on Fridays for her conversion of heart. Please sign up for the ‘Rose and Rosary for Nancy’ campaign at BenedictInstitute.org, and a rose will be sent to her as a symbol of your prayer and fasting for her."
He needs your help. We need 1000 Catholics to sign up to send a rose to Nancy today--for delivery Friday on St. Therese's Feast Day.
Archbishop Cordileone (see his full statement below) says this rose "will be sent to her as a symbol of your prayer and fasting for her."
No bishop has ever done anything like this--publicly endorsing and calling for this kind of Rose and Rosary campaign for a major public official. Don't let him fail. We need to show the world we are behind Archbishop Cordileone as he focuses attention relentlessly on our Catholic faith in the equal dignity of every human soul, in the womb or on the streets.
Archbishop Cordileone Speaks:
September 29, 2021
Today, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone of San Francisco asked all Catholics and others of goodwill to join the Benedict XVI Institute’s “Rose and Rosary for Nancy” campaign at BenedictInstitute.org.
asks“St. Therese of Lisieux, the ‘Little Flower,’ whose feast day we celebrate this Friday, is remembered for these famous and cherished words: ‘After my death, I will let fall a shower of roses. I will spend my heaven doing good upon earth. I will raise up a mighty host of little saints. My mission is to make God loved…’
“And after her death, the roses began to shower down from heaven. Roses have been called St. Therese’s ‘signature,’ a sign that the petitioner’s prayer has been heard.
“The rose is also a symbol of our Blessed Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the ‘mystical rose.’ At this particular moment in the history of our nation, we need more than ever the intercession of our Blessed Mother, St. Therese, and all other saints who have shown us the path to life. Indeed, the reaction elicited by the passage of the Texas Heartbeat Bill shows how desperately our country, and many of our political leaders, need a conversion of heart to steer us away from the path to death and reclaim a culture of life.
“Witness the House of Representatives’ passage of HR 3755, which would impose abortion on demand nationwide at any stage of pregnancy. A conversion of heart of the majority of our Congressional representatives is needed on this issue, beginning with the leader of the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I am therefore inviting all Catholics to join in a massive and visible campaign of prayer and fasting for Speaker Pelosi: commit to praying one rosary a week and fasting on Fridays for her conversion of heart. Please sign up for the ‘Rose and Rosary for Nancy’ campaign at BenedictInstitute.org, and a rose will be sent to her as a symbol of your prayer and fasting for her.
“Speaker Pelosi speaks fondly of her children. She clearly has a maternal heart. Pope Francis has called abortion murder, the equivalent of hiring a hitman to solve a problem. The solution to a woman in a crisis pregnancy is not violence but love. Please join me in praying the rosary and fasting for a conversion of Speaker Pelosi’s maternal heart to embracing the goodness and dignity of human life not only after birth, but in the womb as well.”
