The Knights of Columbus is an organization of Catholic Men founded upon the Principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Initially conceived of in 1881 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney, and incorporated in 1882, the Order has grown from a few dozen men in New Haven, Connecticut, to a multi-million member international organization. Key to this growth has been the Order's dedication to its Catholic Faith and to those foundational principles.
