I am a researcher at the Software Technology Research Center at KNU. I earned my Master’s degree in Computer Science from KNU under the advisement of Professor Byungchul Tak. My research focuses on enhancing system reliability, specifically in the areas of misconfiguration, log analysis, and AI-driven troubleshooting, with the ultimate goal of resolving complex system failures.

My recent research focuses on root cause analysis for system configuration errors. As systems grow increasingly complex, misconfigurations have emerged as a primary driver of large-scale failures. In my current work, I characterize configuration faults and analyze system logs to pinpoint the specific parameters triggering these issues. Previously, I worked on optimizing the retrieval of relevant online forum data for system troubleshooting. While technical forums provide an indispensable wealth of information, the sheer volume makes it challenging to find precise solutions. To address this, I analyzed the unique characteristics of forum posts and developed an approach to mine the most relevant discussions by leveraging and fine-tuning multiple language models
