I am researcher at the Software Technology Research Center in KNU. I received my computer science M.S. in KNU advised by Byungchul Tak.  My research focuses on root cause analysis and log analysis to resolve complex system problems by applying deep learning methods and natural language processing approaches. I have also worked on analyzing online technical forums such as Stack Overflow to mine troubleshooting information.

Research Interests

My recent work is to find out the most relevant online forum data for system troubleshooting.  Online technical forums have become an indispensable source of data for system problems and contain massive volumes of troubleshooting data. However, it is still challenging to retrieve the most relevant information for the problem at hand.  To utilize online forums for system troubleshooting, I figured out the characteristics of online forum posts and suggested approaches to mine the most relevant posts to users' system problems by applying multiple language models.
My next work is focusing on analyzing the root cause of system configuration problems.  With the increasing complexity of the system, configuration faults (Misconfiguration) has become one of the main cause of system failures. In this work, I find out the characteristics of configuration faults and analyze system logs to  figure out the problem-caused system configuration.
