1890: Chan Ah Kee was born (August 10, 1890, Sunday - Chinese 6th lunar month 25th day, Tiger Year).
1896: Wong Sui Cheng was born (October 19, 1896, Monday - Chinese 9th lunar month 13th day, Monkey Year).
1914: Chan Ah Kee (about 24 years old) and wife Wong Sui Cheng (about 18 years old), and several Chan family members left Qing Yuan, China via Hong Kong for Penang, Malaya by cargo ship. From Butterworth, they took the train to Taiping. Chan Ah Kee worked as a kepala in a tin mine in Taiping. Also did some trading.
1915: Chung Chow was born in Taiping (September 22, 1915, Wednesday - Chinese 8th lunar month, 14th day, Year of the Rabbit). Lived in corner house, same row as Qing Yuan Association building in Market Road.
1919: Chan Ah Kee and family moved to Chemor to prospect for tin but were unsuccessful. With resources almost depleted, they returned to China.
1921: Chan Ah Kee, Wong Sui Cheng and Chung Chow returned to China. Chung Chow, age 6. Lived in ancestral village House of Chan, in Qing Yuan. Chan Ah Kee trained to become a Taoist priest.
1923: Chan Ah Kee alone returned to Taiping, Malaya.
1924: Lee Mooi was born in Assam Kumbang, Taiping (November 2, 1924, Sunday - Chinese 10th lunar month 6th day, Year of the Mouse).
1927: Wong Sui Cheng and Chung Chow returned to Taiping, Malaya to be reunited with Chan Ah Kee. Chung Chow about 12 years old then.
1930: Chung Keng Wan was born.
1935+: Chung Chow, then about 20 years started work as an apprentice machinist at the Kamunting Tin Mining Company in Kamunting. Chung Sui Wan was born.
1937: Chung Keng San was born. (December 21, 1937. Tuesday - Chinese 11th lunar month 19th day, Ox Year).
1941 - 1945: Japanese soldiers first landed in Sabak in Kelantan (December 8, 1941). Eventually entered Taiping from the north through Selama. Japanese Occupation: February 1942 to September 1945.

1943: Chung Sweed Cheng, born December 29, 1943. Wednesday. Chinese 12th lunar month 3rd day, Sheep Year.
1944: Demise of Chung Keng San (November 3, 1944. Friday - Chinese 9th lunar month 18th day). Drown in the Taiping Lake Gardens.
1945: Japanese surrender. British retook Malaya. Chung Chow worked as a machinist at Loke Woh, Barrack Road (the old one-storey factory building was demolished in the late 1990's and was replaced by a new double-storey building presently occupied by Erican).

1947: Chung Chew Pheng, born February 10, 1947. Monday. Chinese 12th lunar month 23rd day, Pig Year. Demise of Chan Ah Kee (2.30 pm, 12 June, 1947. Thursday - Chinese 4th lunar month 24th day) age 57 years at 15 Tupai Road, Taiping.
1948: British administration declared state of Emergency in Malaya - lasted 12 years, June 1948 to July 1960. Chung Chew Wah, born July 20, 1948. Tuesday. Chinese 6th lunar month 7th day, Rat Year.
1951: Chung Chew Hong, born January 24, 1951. Wednesday. Chinese 12th lunar month 6th day, Rabbit Year.

1998: Demise of Lee Mooi (August 18, 1998, Tuesday - Chinese 6th month 27th day, Year of the Tiger) age 77 years at Taiping District Hospital.
1999: Demise of Chang Sui Wan (27 December, 1998) at the age of 64
