Right to Refuse to Sign Statements

If stopped by a police officer at school, people have the right to remain silent and refuse to sign any statements.

Right to Refuse a Search

You can refuse to consent to a search of your person, car, or home, even if asked by police. However, police can search you if they suspect you have a weapon, but you should not resist physically. 

Freedom to Leave

If you are not under arrest, calmly ask if you are free to leave. If the answer is yes, leave peacefully and calmly.
