Why should you be mentally healthy?

Unlike popular belief, it affects a person's every aspect of life.

What can affect my mental health?

There are many different factors that can affect your mental health, including

  • Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry

  • Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse

  • Family history of mental health problems

  • Your lifestyle, such as diet, physical activity, and substance use

  • You can also affect your mental health by taking steps to improve it, such as doing meditation, using relaxation techniques, and practicing gratitude.

What can affect my mental health?

Good mental health is more than just the absence of mental illness. It means you are in a state of well-being where you feel good and function well in the world.

According to the World Health Organization, good mental health is when you can:

  • cope with the normal stresses of life

  • work productively

  • realize your potential

  • contribute to the community

Just because we don't see how they feel doesn't allow us to treat them indifferently.

It doesn't cost much to be kind. Even though it may seem insignificant, it could be something that lights up their world.

Be kind, even if what bothers someone else may seem irrelevant to you. Not everyone has the same strengths.
