For 2024, we are still looking for:
1) Research lab teams to host small groups of students for interactive tours/mini-experiences (5-7 students for 2 hours)
2) Researchers to share advances in cancer research. Remember the audience is high school students who are just starting to connect what they've learned in science classes about cells and genetics to cancer. We are looking for speakers about basic biology as well as those studying links between social determinants of health, the environment, and cancer.
3) Researchers to share pathways to cancer research careers. Sign yourself up or sign up to coordinate a panel of people to talk with our students for an hour.
Thanks in advance for sharing your perspectives with our students!
Talk with someone from Knight Scholars' staff.
What do experiences entail?
How can I get involved without a large time commitment?
What are some tips for working with high school students in a virtual space?
Email to:
and let us know if you'd like to meet briefly or if we can answer questions via email.
