Welcome to Boomilever! In this event, teams will design and build a cantilevered beam or truss structure that extends from a vertical Testing Wall and supports a load at a specified distance from the Testing Wall. The structure must meet the requirements specified in these rules to achieve the highest score, which is a combination of structural efficiency and Load Scored Bonus.

Your boomilever has to hold the loading block assembly and 40-45 cm from wall.
Testing Wall
Your device has to only touch between 10-15 cm for bonus
Or 15-20 cm for no bonus
Has to fit between to vertical lines 4 cm from center line

Only wood and glue
Judge supplies loading wall and loading materials(bucket, sand, chain, loading block
Lighter your device better score
Must estimate predicted mass your device will hold up to 15,000 grams
Device only needs to hold 15,,000 g
We will provide googles and wood and loading device
You provide glue, cutting material, measuring devices
