Scenery

Y'ever notice how, if you look at a word for too long, it just looks wrong? That's happening to me right now with the word scenery. Maybe I'll change it, but then again, maybe I just won't.

In any case, in my countless trips up and down the Broadway Bridge, there have been days when I just can't look hard enough. Stopping and staring, trying to absorb it all, it made me want to stop random cars, drag their occupants out onto the sidewalk and scream “Lookit! Lookit! Can you even believe this?!” But I'm shy, so I don't.

What I can do, however, is to up my game a bit and take some pictures when I can catch a real good one. Most of these are shot somewhere between my house (near Broadway and Taylor) and work (Downtown at Second and Twenty-Second). The early ones were taken with a Nikon CoolPix point-and-shoot, the later with a CoolPix B700, because it can shoot in RAW format and has a formidable 60X zoom lens.

I'll start with the earliest ones and work my way along until I get bored with the process.

Enjoy.
