Do you know who’s
Hey! I’m Kamily.
I’m 17 years old, and my editing journey started back in 2018, when I created my first Minecraft YouTube channel (classic, right?). I edited on a tablet that lagged nonstop and used KineMaster. That’s where I fell in love with editing.
From there, a lot changed.
In 2019, when I was 11, I created a channel with a friend where we made short story videos with social commentary. We wrote the scripts ourselves, edited everything, and I also designed the thumbnails using IbisPaint. It didn’t last long, but it was an important phase for me.
In 2020, at 12 years old, things really started to take shape. I was using TikTok only, editing directly on the app with the “Green Screen Image” effect, without even knowing there were easier or more professional ways to edit. Even with limited resources, I kept creating. I reached around 7k followers, but over time the engagement dropped. The followers were still there, but no one watched or interacted anymore — just me and my friends from that time.
Still, I kept going, because I genuinely loved editing (and still do).
Soon after, I discovered CapCut (back when it was fully free) and started using features like keyframes without even knowing what they were called. I also tested other apps like CuteCut, went deeper into IbisPaint, and even played around with animation in FlipaClip. I used to love drawing back then — not so much anymore.
That’s when I discovered Alight Motion. At first, I didn’t use it much, but later I dove in completely. I still remember the first tutorial I watched: a “camera shake effect.” From that point on, I kept exploring, learning, and evolving.
During this journey, Digital Graphic Design also became part of my life. I had already made thumbnails back in 2019, but it wasn’t my main focus. I fell in love with creating posters and bringing ideas to life visually. Today, besides video editing, I also work with design projects using the same care and creativity I’ve always put into my edits.
Currently, I’m deeply focused on Motion Design, which has become my biggest passion. Unlike traditional animation, motion design showed me that you can create amazing things using simple shapes and objects — without needing to draw everything from scratch. It’s a space where I feel free to experiment, create, and tell stories in a dynamic visual way.
My references have also evolved over time. I started inspired by the humor and editing style of Lucas Lira, and today I really admire the work of Oto Criativo, who pushes me to pursue an even more impactful visual style.
I’m constantly learning, testing, and creating — always driven by creativity.
